These handmade Behaviour Support Traffic Lights are designed to provide simple and effective visual communication support for children, young people and adults with learning and understanding difficulties, including autism spectrum conditions and developmental delays.
They are suitable for use in schools, special educational needs (SEN) settings, care environments and at home, helping individuals understand instructions, expectations and everyday routines.

Our traffic lights are manufactured from 0.5mm polypropylene plastic, specifically chosen for its lightweight, flexible and durable properties.
These traffic lights are intentionally thin and flexible. They are designed to bend rather than remain rigid and should not be mistaken for thick, solid plastic discs.
Their flexible construction makes them practical for everyday handling and use in educational and care environments.
As each set is handmade, slight variations in dimensions and finish may occur.
Please note that we have slightly revised the diameter of our Behaviour Support Traffic Lights from approximately 75mm to 70mm.
All products purchased on or after 15 October 2026 will be supplied in the new 70mm diameter (±1mm) size.
The material and design remain unchanged. Each set continues to be handmade from durable, lightweight and flexible 0.5mm polypropylene plastic.
This update only affects the diameter of the product. Its intended use and functionality remain the same.
These traffic lights provide a simple visual reinforcement system to help individuals understand instructions and expectations.
RED – STOP
Show the red circle when asking an individual to stop an action or activity.
YELLOW – WAIT
Show the yellow circle when encouraging an individual to wait or pause before continuing.
GREEN – GO
Show the green circle when an individual can begin or continue an activity.
The traffic lights can be used alongside verbal instructions, gestures and other communication strategies to reinforce understanding and encourage positive behaviour.
